The Pontiac Astre was named after the French term for a foul smelling celestial body. Towards the end of the Astre's production the car received the "Iron Duke" inline four. An engine that was infamously designed by an actual Duke, the Duke of Windsor Ontario, who had no engineering expertise whatsoever.

Considering that the Iron Duke replaced the Chevy 2300, I'd consider that an improvement.
